HEAL-D summary:
Healthy Eating and Active Lifestyles for Diabetes (HEAL-D) Study
What is the HEAL-D Study?
The HEAL-D study is looking at a new support programme for adults of African and Caribbean heritage living with Type 2 Diabetes. This programme, called 'HEAL-D', offers education and support on healthy eating and active lifestyles, designed with cultural considerations in mind.
Why is this study important for you?
We want to find out if the HEAL-D programme is more effective than current diabetes education courses. By joining, you could help us understand if this new approach improves your diabetes management (like blood sugar levels), heart health, general well-being, and daily habits. It also helps us see if this programme is a good, affordable option for healthcare in the future. Your participation could help improve care for many people with Type 2 Diabetes.
